SASH – Sexual Abuse Support and Healing in Nelson/Tasman

SASH provides professional services for people and their whanau affected by sexual abuse in the Nelson/Tasman, Marlborough and West Coast regions.  In all areas except Marlborough, we provide support to people of all ages and genders and their whanau. In Marlborough we are not contracted to provide services to women, but provide support to all other genders and young people. If you are a woman looking for support in Marlborough, please contact the Sexual Violence Support Centre on 0800 437077. The work SASH undertakes improves the lives of everyone it touches in the community – sexual abuse can touch anyone regardless of age, capacity, race, socioeconomics or social demographics

At SASH we believe people have the right to live in a society free from sexual abuse and violence. We aim to assist people by empowering them towards healing and promote autonomy, self-determination, personal growth, pride, confidence and self-esteem.

SASH acknowledges Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the founding document of Aotearoa and will give effect to te tiriti in our constitution, policies and practices. We will provide services that are culturally appropriate, and effectively meet the needs and aspirations of Māori.
